MY FIRST PET: Bogie Comes Home

On November 1, 2010, my white male labradoodle, Bogie, was born. I met him in December and brought him home to live with us on January 4, 2011. When he arrived he weighed 15 lbs. As of this writing he weighs 39 lbs. He is a joy to live with. In the morning when I wake him at 6 am, he shuffles his feet down the hall like he's half asleep. After he does his outside business and has breakfast he just wants to lay on the couch with me and get massaged and loved. He's such a cute little baby boy. Now, at 18 weeks, he knows sit, down, drop it, leave it, off and is working on stay.

New Hearing Aid

Through Epoq’s companion tool called Streamer, a compact Bluetooth® device you are able to wirelessly connect to your telephone, personal computer, MP3 music player or other Bluetooth® enabled device in both ears. This turns Epoq into the world’s smallest cordless headset.

With the Epoq Streamer, you can answer your Bluetooth compatible landline or cell phone without even touching it. The speaker’s voice is automatically streamed to both your ears so you can focus on other things, such as driving or cooking dinner.

I'm Getting Old Too Fast

The story goes like this: I go to the Ear-Nose-Throat clinic because I’m tired of my ears being plugged up all the time. Seems my ears are NOT plugged up. I need frickin’ hearing aids. I can’t believe it. Apparently it’s “advanced” hearing loss for my age. I just put the capital “O” in OLD. I’ve already got trifocals and now I’m getting hearing aids? HA! All I need now are dentures, a walker and a case of Depends and I’ve got all the playing pieces for the “Game of Old”. It can’t be --- I’m only plenty-six years old.

CAUTION: No, “What? I can’t hear you”, jokes. You know who you are?

Note: Not the same kind of hearing loss as my mother’s.

Jeri got new glasses

I get a little attention with my new frames. Very Jeri-esque, I think.

Chihuly at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden

From my readings about the glass artist he doesn't sound like a very nice man. However, I visited his glass show at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Gardens in March 2009 and found the exhibit magical. Click on the above link and check it out.
